In-Clinic Puppy Training in Hinsdale, IL
Puppy training is available here at Lane Veterinary! If you recently welcomed a new puppy to your home and want to get started with basic cues or need to brush up on some polite manners, just call or email our hospital to schedule a training session. Our 6-week group training class covers all the basics and helps to build your puppy's confidence. We highly recommend these classes both as a way to improve your pet’s behavior and as a means of strengthening the bond you share.
Meet Your Trainer, Kali
Kali has always had a passion for animals and working alongside dogs. She has been involved with local animal rescues for over a decade. She began her training journey in 2019 when she joined a volunteer training team at a local rescue. Kali graduated from CATCH Training Academy with honors and received her CCDT certification. She will be going for her CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed) in the Fall.
Puppy Manners Class
Fee: $230
Duration: 6 weeks
# of participants allowed: 4 puppies
Age: 3-6 months (must be up to date on age appropriate vaccinations)
This is a Fear Free and Positive Reinforcement group class. It will involve improving your pet’s attention, focus, listening, and basic manners, including:
- Name recognition
- Hand targeting
- Sit, down, stand (remove stand)
- Loose leash walking
- Coming when called
- Leave it/drop it
- Polite greetings while on leash
We will also work with you to desensitize your puppy to handling, going to the vet clinic, and going on the scale.
